First Aid Training

firstaid

We are very lucky to have first aid training available at UiD that will provide participants with a certified qualification. The first of a possible number of sessions will be held on Tuesday 24th March from 4pm to 6pm. Please see the UiD Calendar of Events to keep up to date with planned activities and classes.

Training Info: British Red Cross – Everyday leaflet

At the British Red Cross we deliver First Aid sessions to adults in the community. Our aim is to build first aid resilience for staff, volunteers, carers and support workers who support at risk groups such as homeless, people with drug or alcohol problems and refugees and asylum seekers. I have attached an information leaflet about our courses to this message.

The courses that we offer are extremely interactive and learner-led and can be tailored to meet the needs of the groups that you work with. The sessions are a maximum of 2 hours and during this time learners will usually be able to develop knowledge and understanding of around 7 first aid skills that are most beneficial to them. The teaching methods that we employ are both flexible and adaptable for those with particular learning needs.
